Louis Ganne - Andante et Scherzo

Download sheet music pdf: Louis Ganne - Andante et Scherzo

Are the pieces I'm playing for my college audition on flute different enough? I need to play two pieces of different styles and I'm playing Syrinx by Debussy and Andante et Scherzo by Louis Ganne and I wonder if they're too similar. I'm auditioning at SDSU, CSU Northridge, and CSU Monterey Bay.

Have you already practised? If you did then it's better not to change. However, want to try something of a different tempo? What does your private teacher say? That's the most important opinion. I think it'd be okay, but there are definitely MORE contrasting pieces than those two. You could play Syrinx and a Mozart concerto, for example. Or Syrinx and Bach.
Music Audition Question? In a few weeks I will be auditioning to for a University music program. I play the flute and will be performing "Andante et Scherzo" by Louis Ganne. This piece has a few spots were there are rests that last a measure, one spot where I rest for two measures. My question is do I count the rests or just skip them? Unless it's a piece where each measure lasts for a minute each, my recommendation would be to count through them all. You could also ask the auditor prior to playing that piece what his/her preference would be. Are you playing without piano? You might want to wait in the rests, especially if they are in the scherzo. If you plan to skip the two measures and it is a live audition just tell the person or comitee that you plan to do it. Or ask how they feel about that. I teach in a conservatory and do not mind if you skip a very long rest. There are several different scenarios. If you finished on beat two or three of a measure, finish counting the measure off to beat four and begin the next stanza. If the last note is on beat four, count one measure and then come in. It is better to wait longer and prove the the judges that you can count and keep a steady tempo. Whatever you do, make sure you finish counting the measure you ended on, never skips beats in a measure. If you are playing with an accompanist, keep counting while they play the measures when you have rests. It depends how long the rest is. If it is just one or two bars then I would 'play' them. This would be a good opportunity during the audition piece to take a breath and calm down so to speak! There is no do's or don'ts with audition pieces! If they really want you to skip the rests they will tell you! Like others have mentioned.with accompanists, count the rests. Playing alone, it depends on the duration. During my audition, I asked if they wanted me to count the rests, which they thoroughly appreciated and responded with "Only if you wish." It is an opportunity to take a quick breather, so if they say it's up to you, I'd suggest counting 2-3 beats to get some air and keep moving ONLY if you want to. Just ask the auditioners. You don't have long rest durations, so it's not a big deal. I play the flute, too! I know exactly what you're talking about. When you're auditioning with that piece, chances are the auditioners know it, so you should be able to skip it. However, it is only one measure of rest. But if you wanted to, it's totally okay.

All of you by Cole Porter, performed by Steve Bone.Day 181 of the Jazz Standard Challenge
Cole Albert Porter (June 9, 1891 October 15, 1964) was an American composer and songwriter. His works include the musical comedies Kiss Me, Kate, Fifty Million Frenchmen, DuBarry Was a Lady and Anything Goes, as well as songs like "Night and Day," "I Get a Kick out of You," "Well, Did You Evah!" and "I\'ve Got You Under My Skin." He was noted for his sophisticated, bawdy lyrics, clever rhymes and complex forms. He was one of the greatest contributors to the Great American Songbook. Cole Porter is one of the few Tin Pan Alley composers to have written both the lyrics and the music for his songs. Porter was born in Peru, Indiana, to a wealthy Baptist family;[1] his maternal grandfather, James Omar "JO" Cole, was a coal and timber speculator who dominated his daughter's family. His mother started Porter in musical training at an early age; he learned the violin at age six, the piano at eight, and he wrote his first operetta (with help from his mother) at 10. Porter\'s mother, Kate, recognized and supported her son's talents. She changed his legal birth year from 1891 to 1893 to make him appear more precocious. Porter's grandfather JO Cole wanted the boy to become a lawyer, and with that career in mind, sent him to Worcester Academy in 1905 (where he became class valedictorian) and then Yale University beginning in 1909. Porter was a member of Scroll and Key and Delta Kappa Epsilon (Phi chapter) and sang both in the Yale Glee Club, of which he was elected president his senior.

A Question - Hawley

Question about hawley retainer? I just got one, and wondering if it should be snugly against the roof of my mouth, or should there be a little play in it ? Should I be able to take a mouthful of water and pass it between the retainer and the roof of my mouth by swishing it around. Just curious.

See and download A Question - Hawley music score

Wow this is a good question! I don't quite know.It depends for me if I can do that or not. I can usually swish by pulling it out a tiny bit, but when it is snug water doesn't get all the way around it.But I don't know the answer for real, and my case may be different because my retainer was made like 2 years before I was able to wear it, so the roof of my mouth changed a little bit and it doesn't fit as well as it should up there. So I don't know what should happen with a really well fitting one.But your teeth won't move, whatever happens, don't worry. Probably the quality of the impression has something to do with the way your retainer fits, if you got it made recently and your mouth hasn't changed like mine did:)

Hawley Retainer Question? Ok so i get my braces off in two days and i am getting a hawley retainer. There are two gaps in my top teeth, between the 12-and the 13 and between my 22-and my 23. The gap is about 1 to 1.5 mm. I was wondering how long the hawley retainer will take to close this gap. All my other teeth are fine. Cheers
Usually the braces do not get removed if there is a gap in the teeth. Sometimes the orthodontist thinks that the gaps might close when the teeth 'settle' in. However, the retainer is NOT going to move the teeth or close any gaps. It is for retention only ( to hold the teeth where they are). Address the concerns with your orthodontist when you go to your appointment, most likely he/she will not remove them until they close the gaps. Good luck!

Question for people who have hawley retainers? well as you all know that hawley retainers have the plastic bit on it. well when i eat all the food builds up on top of the plastic bit. how do i stop this or what am i sopposed to do other than take it out a rinse it under a tap

Just take it out when you eat. It won't hurt. As l as you wear it like your supposed to. Because I'm guessing you don't eat for hours straight. So just take it out for a few minutes is fine. My orthondontist told me to wear mine 24/7 except when I eat and brush for the first 6 months, but they said I can eat with it if I want to.

Where is the old town dump in Hawley, Pa? Every town had a dump years ago. Somebody told me there is an old town dump in Hawley, Pennsylvania. The only question is WHERE IS THE DUMP LOCATED AT?
you remember the big old white house the cess pit behind the back door about 300 meters left of the passing distraction your post is this is current events ,at least be asking in history or where the new dump is sorry about dumping on you but you allow no im nor do you allow em so this is the only way to let you know this is not the right section for history

Tasmania travel question. Is there any public transport from Hawley beach to Sheffield? I am getting married at Hawley Beach. and our honeymoon is at Cradle Mountain. we're just trying to find out- how we'll get to Cradle Mountain.. are there any trains or buses.. taxis? Thanks. I found this map on how to get there. but I'd prefer not to drive: maps.google.com.au/maps?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&q=68%20Hawley%20Esplanade%20Hawley%20Beach%20TAS%207307%20%20to%20eagles%20nest%20retreat&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wlThanks Yahooers.
There are no passenger train services (other than short tourist rides) anywhere in TasmaniaA taxi may be expensiveYou could check Tigerline or Redline who provide bus services across the state, they do have services into Cradle Mtn

Can you help me with this question I have about my teeth? I had my braces taken off a couple months ago, but I recently noticed my front teeth overlap a little. Since they overlap it causes one to look slightly longer than the other, which really irritates me. I've been wearing my retainer (it's a hawley retainer) What should I do? And how can this be fixed? Thank you for the help!
Quick question about getting my braces taken off tomorrow!? Okay so I have had a fixed brace for 2 years on my bottom teeth. However I have had a removable retainer ( think they're called hawley retainers) which is a plastic bit that goes on the top of my mouth, and has metal parts on it. Okay so tomorrow when I get my fixed brace taken off I will be getting a clear retainer for my bottom teeth, but my question is will I also get a clear retainer for my top teeth or not? Thanks:)
Does Charlotte Louise Hawley sound good? I asked this question last night, but I accidentally deleted it, so I'm asking it again.I'm trying to write right a character now, and I'm trying to find a good middle and last name for my character. Is Charlotte Louise Hawley any good? Any suggestions? She's a rather quiet person, who prefers to be left alone. A question about another name. Does Beatrice Earnestine Argall sound good? This character is an older person. Any suggestions for this name?
oohh i like both names!and they both fit the descriptions of the characters!!good luck on your writing!

53rd And 3rd by Dee Dee Ramone

was Dee Dee Ramone gay? I loved the Ramones, but always wondered about Dee Dee. Especially with the song 53rd and 3rd, that he wrote. He hung out in this area in New York, where are of the queers were. I know that he liked his heroine and am wondering if he was male prostituting himslef

Check out digitalized sheet music for 53rd And 3rd by Dee Dee Ramone

He married a woman, so he probably wasn't gay. He could have been bisexual, but I don't think I've ever heard anything to suggest he had any interest in guys.

There are many claims that Dee Dee was bisexual from friends such as Danny Fields (first manager - also gay), Linda Stein (manager), Legs McNeil (co-founder of Punk Magazine and close friend) and many others. There is also a oft-quoted legend of Dee Dee working as a rent boy in New York before the Ramones career took off. This is supposedly the subject of the song from their 1st LP "53rd & 3rd".

What are some songs about opium/heroin/opiates? I am making a mix CD themed around opiates and I am looking for some songs on the topic. So far I have the following:Neil Young - The Needle and The Damage DoneRed Hot Chili Peppers - Under The BridgeThe Velvet Underground - I'm Waiting For The ManThe Ramones - 53rd and 3rdThe Velvet Underground - HeroinThin Lizzy - Opium TrailHooverphonic - OpiumRasputina - Mama Was An Opium SmokerJump, Little Children - OpiumPlacebo - Been Smoking Too LongBrian Eno - China My ChinaLou Reed - Xmas in FebruaryHenry Fiat's Open Sore - Dee Dee RamoneMotorhead - Hump on your BackThe Ramones - Love KillsThe Slits - Instant HitAC/DC - Gone Shootin'Tom Waits - CrossroadsLeftover Crack - Heroin or Suicide?Manic Street Preachers - Roses In The Hospital

There's a hidden song on the album "Opiate" by the band "Tool", I think its called Lotus ExperienceO'crap sorry you said opium/heroin/opiates. Well this song is about LSD and E.but I'll post this anyways. Check it out.

i don't know songs about opium, herione, and opiates but. i do know that bob dylan's "tambourine man" and the beatles' "yellow submarine" are about drugs.
