Chopin Polonaise Op.40 No.1

A slide show of Chopin and his and my homeland, Poland. Andrzej Kozlowski, piano

Can I listen to the way Chopin's Polonaise Op. 40 No. 1 sounds using just the left hand? To delve into my Music Appreciation Paper, I'd like to listen to this song, but a rendition of it where only the right or only he left hand is employed.Thank you!!

There probably aren't any recordings like that. You can get a midi file of the piece and mute one of the two tracks. This requires some special software. The easiest is to use the free trial of Notation composer.notation.com/DownloadComposerTrial.php(this software only works with PC)classicalarchives.com/work/7174.html

Help me find a piece to learn next please ? well here's the story:so my mom is getting tired of paying for piano lessons. Right now were discussing if im still going to have them. So at my last lesson my piano teacher gave me Chopin's "Military" Polonaise Op.40 No.1 to work on and no other pieces and that was a while ago maybe back in October. I haven't been really practicing it a lot but finished it on Christmas. So i wont see my piano teacher next week or maybe never again! but i wont lose hope though i will get through this :)okay but the main question here is since im done with all my pieces right now can you please recommend a song for me to learn something by Chopin will be nice along with all the other great composers :) ! song im working on now is Liszt etude op.1 no.2So please people of yahoo answers give me a piece to learn please.btw im 14 if that helpsbtw im 14 if that helps
Hello!Try the 1st Scherzo or the 3rd Ballade by Chopin, these are not so difficult pieces. But I don't think you can learn them without a teacher. You haven't mentioned your age, but I suppose you are a pupil, if your mother pays for your piano lessons and if you play this repertoire you told us. My advice is to find a good piano teacher to help you. You have to talk with your piano teacher about your repertoire, not to ask for advices on Yahoo! Answers. Of course, it's fine to ask for some opinions on a forum, but you should have a professional opinion. All the best and good luck!

2 of my favorites are his Nocturne in B flat minoryoutube.com/watch?v=cFhaBEtmHeUand the Raindrops Prelude in D flat majoryoutube.com/watch?v=UGg8FqYRnwkand if you think you can handle it, the Fantasie Impromtpuyoutube.com/watch?v=qa0Z6g1XJkU

Bad Ass Piano Solos - NOT anything modern/mainstream? Well, I have had my share of experiences with people who think they're "four-chord" songs are considered difficult repertoire.I've used Kapustin and Chopin as my trump cards too many times and I need another piece to show them that the music of the modern generation is just too simple. Please name some "bad-ass" piano solos that I could add to my repertoire please :DExamples:Chopin Etude Op. 10, No. 4Kapustin Op.39 - Piano Sonata No.1 ( Sonata Fantasy ) - 4. Allegro MoltoKapustin Etude Op. 40, No.3But as much as I like chromatics, remember I'm using these solos to tackle a generation that is into melodic lines, so DIATONIC music that is "understandable" is very much preferred. No avante-garde or "experimental" music please...
Look up basically anything by Ravel. For example:Alberado del Gracioso is a collection of spanish melodies that have only a few chords, but they're all bizzare and sound wrong.Prelude from Le Tombeau de CouperinToccata from that suite if you're experienced enoughScarbo if you're insane enough.
